Questions answered

VOX is a permanent point of sale specialist, partnering with global brands to develop their display and merchandising supply chains. With the business growing and diversifying VOX needed to support both their existing and new employees with a learning solution that could be adapted quickly.

Solution

Area specialists within VOX teamed up with Feed Your Elephant to develop a bespoke onboarding programme, which new staff could easily work through, at times that suited them during their first month in the business. Monthly updates and news bulletins were also loaded onto the app, making it a first point of reference for news impacting the business.

These same specialists also reviewed area-specific content every quarter to make sure the latest client and technology developments were being uploaded for their teams to understand and use in their day-to-day work.

It has helped me retain some of specific bits of knowledge, often things which I had a general understanding of but can now recall the correct date, percentage or terminology. Particularly outside of my own specialism – so some of the questions from the commercial and supply teams have helped fill in some of the gaps I had.

Outcomes

With offices all round the world the CEO of VOX wanted to ensure his staff felt connected. The app’s “Who’s Who” modules helped people put names to job titles and faces. For new staff the app housed everything they needed to know, from information about the team they were joining to HR processes and a glossary of key terms.

Importantly the app allowed team leaders to identify which team members were engaging with the latest information, with this data helping them to ascertain training needs moving forwards.
