Immediate CT Scans

These must happen within 1 hour of the request.

A provisional written report should also be available. This is the responsibility of the on call radiology teams and the process is triggered at the time of requesting the scan, so there is no need to chase them. However, if you are about to go off shift within an hour of the scan being done you MUST ask senior medical (and nursing) colleagues remaining on shift to check for report and act accordingly.

If a CT scan does not need to happen immediately, it should still be completed within 8 hours of request.
